Christ Church Spitalfields was named ‘The Best Building in London’ by ES in 2004. Built in 1729 it has for most of it’s life been homed to a committed worshipping christian community. Yet every week 1000’s of tourists, pilgrims and visitors enjoy our church building. Many sense God’s presence within the beauty and simplicity of this place.
The church is open:
Weekdays 10am-4pm | Cafe in the Crypt: 10am-4pm
Saturdays Closed | Cafe in the crypt: 10am-4pm
Sundays 1pm-4pm | Cafe in the Crypt: Closed
A donation of £3 would be much appreciated – we want to keep our church open for you, please help us keep it open for others. We occasionally close for private events. If travelling a long distance, we advise you confirm opening times beforehand by calling 020 7377 6793.
Tours for groups of 10 people or more can be made by prior arrangement. Please contact us at least two weeks before.

School Trips are welcomed for visits exploring; faith, architecture, history, the Huguenots, immigration, and Christianity.
